China will allow coal to be imported from Australia into the country, despite tensions escalating between Beijing and Craberra. The cargo of a ship in a southern Chinese port is reported to be unloaded, while other information indicates that the shipment will remain unchanged.
However, two other ships have completed the unloading and a third is in the process, but it is unclear whether the cargo will be controlled by customs. Chinese coal supplies have been curtailed by Covid-19 and other security controls, which has slowed deliveries to Mongolia.
Statistics show that thermal coal and coking coal have decreased significantly from the percentage of recent years. Finally, it seems that China has blacklisted many Australian products and foods, because of which the relations between the two countries are tense.
