Commodity markets may start a supercycle, although nothing is for granted. Of course the prices will increase the coming years. The term supercycles is used for very large price fluctuations and have arisen from consumption and not from production while they are defined by low frequency and long duration. Huge increases in consumption distinguish perennial supercycles. A new supercycle could be caused by India’s industrialization, energy transition and government spending.
