The International Maritime Exhibition “Posidonia” started with a Greek initiative in 1965. They recognized the need to create in Greece an exhibition on shipping, which would promote the strength of Greek shipping and the importance of the Greek fleet for industry worldwide.
Since 1970 it is organized every two years, in June. Posidonia deserves its title as the most important international shipping exhibition, thanks to its unique heritage and long tradition in creating new business opportunities.
